概述

Cupping is an ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique, dating back over 3000 years, that involves creating suction on the skin using cups. This process increases blood flow to specific areas, delivering nutrients and oxygen while removing toxins. Cupping can produce “petechiae,” indicating areas of stagnant blood flow. This microtrauma stimulates anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, and tissue-regenerative effects, providing relief from pain and various ailments. Often paired with therapeutic oils, cupping feels like a deep tissue massage, promoting healing by restoring flow to stagnant areas in the body.

Benefits of Cupping:

Increased Blood Flow and Circulation
Cupping creates a vacuum that pulls the skin and underlying tissues up into the cup, stimulating blood flow to the area. This increased circulation can help with muscle recovery, reduce pain, and speed up the healing process.
Reduced Pain and Inflammation
Cupping is known to alleviate muscle pain and reduce inflammation by promoting blood flow and releasing tension in the muscles. It has been used effectively for conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain.
Improved Flexibility and Range of Motion
Cupping helps break up scar tissue and adhesions, which can limit range of motion and cause pain. Studies have shown that cupping can improve flexibility and range of motion.
