Neurographica® is an innovative therapeutic art form that combines art and psychology to facilitate self-discovery, stress reduction, and personal growth. This unique approach uses specific drawing techniques to connect the conscious and unconscious mind, engaging neural networks in the brain through systematized exercises.
The process involves creating freeform lines or ‘neuro lines’ on paper, which are then transformed using a structured algorithm. By engaging in this creative method, seekers can access their inner selves, gain clarity, and promote positive changes in their reality. Neurographica® offers a powerful tool for transformation and healing, allowing individuals to explore their emotions and thoughts in a visual, non-verbal manner.
This accessible practice requires no previous art experience and is suitable for seekers of all ages, making it a versatile and effective means of personal exploration and growth.
The genesis of Neurographica® occurred on April 29, 2014, during a flight from Russia to Israel when Pavel Piskarev conceived the method. The term “Neurographica” was coined by combining “neuro,” referring to the brain and its neural connections, and “graphic,” relating to visual art. Piskarev began teaching this new method immediately within his local community and soon founded the Psychology of Creativity Institute in Russia.
Neurographica® draws upon insights from various fields, including psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, and coaching. It is built on solid scientific principles, combining visual thinking with laws and patterns identified by various schools of psychology, such as neuropsychology, analytical psychology, Gestalt psychology, Psychosynthesis, social psychology, and modern management theory.
