Travel Itinerary

Scotland

This bespoke itinerary, curated for the true seeker, is a perfect blend of spiritual awakening, nature immersion, and indulgent self-care.

Day 1: Enchanting Edinburgh

The Scottish journey begins in the captivating city of Edinburgh. Start the day with a sunrise yoga session in Princes Street Gardens, with the ancient castle looming above like a sentinel of time. The energy is palpable – thick and dense with the city's rich history.

As night falls, escape to The Witchery by the Castle, a restaurant that can only be described as magical. Candlelight flickers off gilt-covered walls as diners savor each bite of locally-sourced, organic fare. The ambiance alone is enough to transport you to another era.

Day 2: Spiritual Revelations

Connect with the unseen. A deeply moving session with Hazel Martin, a gifted medium at the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre, offers a unique opportunity for spiritual insight and personal reflection.

In the afternoon, venture to the enigmatic Rosslyn Chapel. As you trace their fingers over the intricate 15th century carvings, you will feel a surge of ancient wisdom around you. The hidden symbols, mysterious atmosphere, and rich history provide a contemplative environment for spiritual seekers.

Day 3: Highland Healing

Arriving in the Scottish Highlands feels like coming home to a place one has never been. The exquisite Gairnshiel Lodge, a former Victorian hunting lodge transformed into a haven of sustainable luxury, serves as accommodation for the next few nights. The proprietor, Hilda, is warm and welcoming, sharing what drew her to the Highlands from Antwerp over a cup of coffee. The lodge's warm and modern Belgian aesthetic serves as a calm backdrop to the magnificent views from every vantage point.

A foraging walk through the village of Braemar encourages reconnection with nature, observing its nuances and rhythms.  There's something profoundly grounding about connecting with nature in this way.

The evening is spent under the stars with a certified astronomer in the stunning Cairngorms National Park, recognized as one of the best places in the world to stargaze. This 'International Dark Sky Park' offers low light pollution, incredible vantage points, and vast horizons, making it perfect for stargazing.

After a full day, fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the River Gairn, feeling peaceful and content.

Embrace the raw beauty of the Highlands of Scotland and its ancient forests. Start with a horseback ride through Glen Tanar, with ancient Caledonian pines whispering their secrets as riders pass and criss-cross over the River Dee.

In the afternoon, brave a wild swimming experience with Wild Braemar. Plunging into the crystal-clear waters is invigorating, to say the least. Following it with a session in their eco-friendly sauna leaves skin glowing and spirits soaring.
