Payal S. Parekh is a Wellness Curator. She is a New York-based art advisor and a 500-hour nationally certified yoga teacher.
 
Payal tailors each yoga class to fit the individual needs of her clientele with an emphasis on reviving and restoring mind and body. She trusts deeply in the nectar of self-care.
 
As a wellness curator, Payal enjoys integrating therapeutic modalities; including meditation, aromatherapy, body scan, reiki, restorative posturing et breath work into her classes.
 
She believes in the power of movement and meditation in everyday life, which began when she was a teenager and student of Modern Dance and Ballet at Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University.
 
In Hindi, Payal translates to anklet. Traditionally, these were worn by Indian classical dancers, specifically those with bells that chime and shimmer. Payal’s namesake signifies the power that movement holds in her life, from early lessons in dance as a child, to the daily practice of yoga as an adult.
 
Under her guidance, students are able to heal themselves et transform by building their inner resilience, flexibility and strength in a safe and loving atmosphere. Payal also teaches meditation, offers reiki healing sessions and reads akashic records.

Payal S. Parekh is a New York-based art advisor, yoga teacher, and reiki master dedicated to wellness and diverse art perspectives.

A 500-hour nationally certified yoga teacher, she believes in the power of movement and meditation for physical and mental health. Her self-care deck, Blessed Rest by Payal, offers tools for reflection and stress relief. She has led meditation sessions at Christie’s, David Zwirner, The Armory Show, Perrotin, and The Baltimore Museum of Art.

She has served on the board of the American Visionary Art Museum and is a member of the Skowhegan Council and FCA Friends in New York.

Founder of Payal Arts International (2008), she advises artists and collectors. Payal holds degrees in Art History (Mount Holyoke) and Contemporary Art (Sotheby’s Institute) and was raised in Baltimore, Maryland.
