The Flowing with Grief practice invites individuals to connect to their bodies and their grief using movement and breath to process and release grief that is held in the body.
This yoga and movement practice is designed to support you as you consciously engage with your grief. Together we move through the process of becoming aware of your grief and how it shows up in the body, expressing and witnessing your grief feelings, connecting with your loved ones who have died, and surrendering to the whole of your grief experience. As opposed to being focused on strength and flexibility, this practice centers the emotional body and the embodied experiences that we hold onto. This practice is a blend of my yoga and dance movement therapy training, and includes movement, mindfulness, and breathing techniques, followed by time for journaling and/or reflection.
